Scott County Churches
Below are pictures of local churches.
This red brick church is The New Bethel Community Church in Lexington. This church was at one time across the street from where it is today in the cemetery. The church continues today and is on New Bethel Road, in Jefferson County, Lexington, IN.
Note the dark red painted bricks. Tom Patton of Nabb painted the church many years ago, probably in 1955 and it was a paint that had to be mixed with water. It has lasted many years.
The little white frame church is Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, on Kinderhook Road, near Lexington. The church continues to be in use.
The Bedford Stone church is formerly the Blocher United Methodist Church in Blocher, IN. It has been purchased by another church at this time.
